GPT-6 Astra can operate browsers and desktop applications. That changes what “testing” can look like: understand a request, plan scenarios, generate automation, adapt when the UI shifts.
It does not make Playwright, Selenium, or enterprise automation platforms obsolete. Astra provides a reasoning layer. Deterministic automation provides reliable execution. Enterprise knowledge defines correctness. Humans authorize consequential actions.
The decisive enterprise questions are not only how capable the model is, but where it runs, what it can see, and who authorizes its actions.
