Self-directed enterprise AI depends less on a larger model and more on structured, version-aware knowledge that can be reasoned over and executed.

Self-directed AI in the enterprise will not arrive only because models get larger. It arrives when knowledge is structured enough that agents can reason, validate, and execute under governance.

The foundation may not be the model. It may be version-aware, evidence-backed, computable knowledge — the missing layer between documents and action.
